Thumbnail/Title Designer

READ CAREFULLY

I love making videos. But someone out there… is WAY better at thumbnails than me.
This could be our chance to work together!

NOTE that only serious and skilled entries will be reviewed/considered.

This position can be done from anywhere but will require quick response time.
IDEALLY a title and thumbnail should be a set that not only get clicks, but drive watch time to the video.
So the ideal candidate will have an eye for BOTH - However… If I find someone who isn’t particularly skilled with titles, but NAILS the thumbnail design… we could be good to go!

HOW TO APPLY:

We will start by combatting some of my laziness - I have a few vids that I rushed the thumbnail/title for and can definitely be improved. These videos will serve as our test.

Select one or more videos from the list below, and create a thumbnail (and if you can… title) that you think can improve views on the video - and then submit the thumbnail and your information through the form below
(for multiple entries, you will need to submit the form each time individually)

The thumbnail design must meet the criteria listed below, and be for one of these videos:

How One Woman Replaced a Village in Japan

Exploring Tokyo Empty After Midnight

RURAL Japan's SHOCKING Decline and the People Changing it

Revealing THE BEST of Japan - Beyond the Tourist Traps

You're Traveling Japan WRONG - I Can Fix That

This Is KYOTO?! I Didn't Know About ANY of This…

THUMBNAILS MUST:

a) Represent the video content and not just gain clicks, but fuel watch time

b) Look like a Tokyo Lens Thumbnail (no overly AI, weird stuff)

c) Be simple and clean

If you do not have a better title idea, leave that field blank

IMPORTANT NOTES:

I will likely only test a small handful of the thumbnail submissions that come in
YouTube now has thumbnail A/B testing - so I can test your thumbnail against the current thumbnail and we can get a definitive answer on how effective it is (time for each test varies)
IF I choose to test your thumbnail, I will contact you and let you know that the test is starting, and the results when the test finishes.
Be sure you start with research on how to make effective thumbnails before even designing
I recommend not submitting while you are busy - there is no rush - submit at a time that you have 2-3 hours open after

It goes without saying, but this position will come down entirely to results (and communication skill/speed)

If you do not hear from me, you are free to submit a NEW design, but anything perceived as spam will be permanently blocked, so please do not resubmit the same design, or flood me with attempts.

Thank you and best of luck
